Flying above Morcote – the most beautiful village in Switzerland
Switzerland is a very small but very diverse country. Few of the regions are as beautiful as Ticino, an italian speaking canton in the southern border. There are a several very unique towns and villages, some in the mountains and some located by a lake. The landscapes of Ticino are also some of the most impressive I’ve ever seen.

On a long weekend trip to Ticino I visited Morcote. This villages has been named the most beautiful village of Switzerland a few years ago, so I had to check it out. It’s only 15 minutes by bus from Lugano, a major city in the region and where one can get in just 2 hours by train from Zurich.
Since Morcote is located on the shore of the Lugano Lake on a mountain slope, the best view point to see the whole of its beauty is from air. So here I let loose my Mavic Air 2 to take some footage and a few photos:

All the photos were shot in raw and post processed in Lightroom.
Mavic Air 2 doesn’t have the best dynamic range but the raw photos are still quite good and it offers a unique bird eye perspective which makes it an amazing tool for exploring new and familiar places.
