  • Hyperfocal Distance Calculator

What is it? Hyperfocal distance is a distance from a lens beyond which all objects can be brought into an "acceptable" focus.

When a lens is focused on the hyperfocal distance, the scene will be in focus from half of that distance to infinity.

Finding and focusing on the hyperfocal distance is a technique that can be used to maximize the depth of field while only taking a single exposure. For cases where this is not possible other techniques can be applied like focus staking.

Enter your lens and camera configuration:

The scene will be in focus from 0.4mts (1.3ft) to infinity if focused at 0.8 mts (2.6 ft).
