Budapest at night
Budapest has a lot to offer photographically. The architecture is amazing and the lighting of the landmarks is beautiful. One of the best locations to enjoy the view of the Parliament and the Széchenyi Chain Bridge is from the Buda Castle. It’s good to arrive before the sunset but I think in this case everything looks better during the blue hour after all the lights are turned on.
Post processing
First of all, I cropped the photo to 16×9 since there was nothing special in the sky and the bottom of the frame wasn’t too interesting. As usual with this type of photos the lights on the bridge and some of the city lights were too bright and to achieve a better balanced image it was necessary to fix the overexposed areas with a darker frame.
Once the blend was done, it was just a matter of adjusting the contrast, especially in the sky and slightly correcting the colors. For example making the yellows slightly more orange to make them stand out from the rest of the photo.
All the processing was done in Lightroom and Photoshop.
